I certainly don't hate 24/18 13/7 either. In both cases, being hit is not the end of the world. Making the 10 point will make our position more flexible, as the midpoint in conjunction with the defensive bar point is rather a liability. On the other hand running to the bar would make that straggler safe. I don't know which play wins more gammons either. So I don't really have a strong rationale for my play. Let's say that our position just plays a little bit easier.
