Would never play under these circumstances

I think that the current time settings in use give elite players more of an advantage than they already enjoy in unclocked matches because they can very quickly focus on the essence of a position whereas lesser players spend a lot of time just trying to identify what the main issues are, and don't get enough time to really try to find the best move - which many of us would like to do. Finding the best move is the point, not finding it 15 seconds faster, unless you are playing speed-gammon.
Mild time handicapping would be a means to eliminate this added equity while still maintaining tournament schedules and the higher probability of success that already belongs to the stronger player, I'm not trying to take away your due advantage, I'm suggesting a means of compensating for anything more than your due advantage.
