Do the other federations also have players from intermediate and beginners sections mixed in?
Here's a better answer: Yes, everyone's in the same ranking list. But there is more mixing of players in the three European organizations. As far as I can tell, all rated BIBA events have only one division. Likewise all, or nearly all, rated NBGF events.
DBgF events lately are more of a mixed bag, some having only one division, some two, very few three, and a couple "shark-free" tournaments bar the highest ranked players. The Sept.-Feb. team tournament (up to twenty-two 17-point matches per player) is stratified into 4 divisions. But weekly tournaments (low entry, 5-7 point matches), which are also rated, have only one division.
In short, the ABT open/intermediate/[beginner] + jackpot 3-day tournament format is not the norm in BIBA, DBgF and NBGF rated tournaments.
