The reason I asked to be quoted is because your entire paragraph sure seemed to imply some pointed fingers at me for saying things and if said things were said to want my cake and eat it to.

But some of them, Stick being one, say they have to skip over some analysis because of time controls - but that playing fast they play just as well as slow. Hmmm. That suggests that the analysis they were forced to skip was of zero consequence. Would you like to have your cake and eat it too?

It will affect the level of play for stronger players, it may not affect it noticeably though. If I play a 3 PR one match or a 3.3 PR nobody is going to know that it may have been caused by the time controls. When a weaker player gets super low on time they freak out like they just snorted a line of coke and play everything frantically making horrendous plays that will crush their usual PR. This isn't true for the great players. They will make decent plays all day long on a 12 second delay. As I said in another post, you make it enough of a speed game and it will definitely favor the stronger player.
