1. Nd/take. Blue's blot on his 3 point is an eyesore despite an otherwise threatening board.

2. Bar/20*; 20/17*. While hitting two checkers here may appear to aid White's timing White has 3 checkers stuck on the 24 point with rather poor timing. He may double anchor at best & even then probably forced off his advanced anchor should he make one.

3. 24/22; 23/22. The quiet play here seems right.

4. Nd/;take

5. D/take. This is no bargain take for White but he should anchor somewhere & all of his checkers are presently in play.
