It goes beyond that. His use was clear to me in that he meant a cube that theoretically was not allowed to be used after taking. I think that is a standard meaning when talking about a dead cube take point

It also can be used as Chuck uses it. In that case the dead cube takepoint is indeed the actual takepoint, where otherwise cube vig can lower it.
