nomenclature/ambiguity

I think the accepted meaning of "dead cube" is a cube which has no value to the owner
That's the definition I find looking up "dead cube" in glossaries. But the continuous model contrasts "live cube" and "dead cube" where "dead cube" means "cubeless after the current double." Similarly bot "dead cube" stats on windows and take points apply both to score-based deadness and last-roll based deadness. I that explains why many of use "dead cube" to refer to take points and match equities both when redoubling is possible and when it is not.
Search "dead cube" site:bgonline.org/forums/ . The term is used both ways "Buried cube" seems not to have caught on. Some writers consistently use "cubeless take point" when they mean take point before further cube action, when action is in fact possible. Maybe that's best?
