All-in?

The key in this is that almost all the time when you lose, its a gammon. You must negate that effect.
Since Blue is a favorite to hit and has a 5-prime, I think a lot of his losses should be single games. But what can Blue do about gammon losses, anyway? Nothing, except turn them into single game losses by doubling. The gammon losses can't be negated, counteracted or balanced. Blue needs to ignore the games in which he gets gammoned -- in those it doesn't matter whether he's doubled or not -- and think about how many single games he wins and loses, and the equity he gains or loses in them, after doubling or not doubling now.
