You can try your luck with virtualization although security wise it is not in general a bulletproof solution. If you feel adventurous and want to study a bit of windows internals, you can read up on shims (google for "shims" or "application compatibility infrastructure") however, while fun, there is a good chance shimming will simply make the app not run or crash at some point (eg. when the spyware routines set in).
What you are doing is fine. Its just that the average Windows user has no clue about security. If they didn't have some sort of test setup that could catch a bug on something as essential, for a dice game, as generating prober dice rolls, who in their right mind would trust their app with full privileges on a machine being connected to the net ?
