In Response To: Touch (Lift) Rule PROPOSAL (Bob Koca)

Although my preference of looking at a position may not be a good justification, it is the status quo. Pencil and paper is not allowed under current rules, so that would be difficult to argue for. However, this 'non touch rule', has the burden to prove that it is a superior rule.

Additionally, just as counting pips, shots, etc. in your head is part of the game, who is to say that watching your opponent's moves should not be included?
