#1 - 17/14(2), 13/10(2) - This one was very difficult and I have almost no idea. It is DMP and we are ahead. We want to stay ahead and keep things simple. The obvious candidates are 17/11(2); 17/14(2), 13/10(2); 17/14(2), 11/5; 17/14(2), 13/10, 11/8. It is difficult to distinguish between the candidates except that I would prefer to leave a shot now when it is not the end of the world and it can generate some flexibility. If I am going to be hit, I want to be hit by the bar point anchor as this does most harm to white's game.
#2 - 14/13, 8/7(2), 6/5 - The choice appears to be between 6/4(2) and 14/13, 8/7(2), 6/5. The latter tidies up the checker on the 14 point, makes the 7 point and should put us in a good position to cube next next go if we are not hit with eight.
#3 - Double/Take - the take is clear but the double seems more borderline. Still I cannot imagine doubling is a large error. Equally I cannot see many market losers either - 66 maybe close. I would double because I find my errors are far smaller by following the general double/take in these situations.
#4 - 13/9, 13/8 - This looks like a classic pay now pay later problem. It looks like a pay now because (1) white's home board is getting stronger; (2) blue's home board is getting weaker; (3) there is a blot in White's home board; (4) a miss on the blot on the 9 spot will put us in a good position to bring the game home safely.
#5 - bar/21, 6/5 - This does something with our second roll, duplicates 4 and improves our distribution while white is still weak.
