Tournament Format and Prize Sharing By Dr. Garal

What I said was that Dr. Garal has written: "interesting insights and perspectives."

I did not sight his insights were "insightful," and I did not say that I support or agree with his approach. But I do find them interesting and thought-provoking. I, too, have told Dr. Garal on many occasions that his approach is far too long and complicated, and I am surprised that people actually took the time to read though the whole thing.

Not, to the core of what the good Doctor is trying to accomplish: I applaud that he is trying to come up with ways to make the game fairer and more enjoyable for the players, even if we don't agree with all of his ideas, and I certainly think there is great room for improvement in how tournaments declare the winners; general tournament format; how the money is awarded; and how we, as a community, truly find out who the best players in the world really are.

While I don't agree with many of Dr. Garal's answers to these questions, I do very much agree with the questions being asked.
