Penalty button

I also want a rule to penalize illegal moves.
I think it would be great if clocks could be manufactured with a 5-second "Penalty" button -- when you press this button it deducts 5 seconds* from the reserve time of the player whose clock is currently running.
So suppose you have a rule that says there is a 15-second penalty for making an illegal play. The offender simply presses the penalty button three times, returns the checkers to their original position, and plays again.
Why a 5-second button instead of 15 seconds? Five seconds is the price you pay for take-backs. If you try a move and change your mind, you may press the Penalty button once and you're free to reset your pieces and try again.

* Before UBK asks, no you can't lose the match on a time penalty. If you have less than 25 seconds of reserve time left, the Penalty button subtracts only 20% of your remaining time.
