Dear Casper,
thank you for honest answer.
I repeat my proposal for you personally and very simple to understand.
The tournament divides in two parts: preliminary competition and final sessions.
Your tournament fee divides in two part too: 50% for preliminary competition, 40% for final session of best 8 players and 10% for the consolation session for the rest of players.
For example: tournament fee - 200$.
Preliminary tournament: 1. you receive for your 50% tournament fee (in our case 100$) some number of Game Points (for example, 20 GP). It means that 1GP is 5$ value. 2. you play 5 matches (rounds) swiss system. In each match 6-8 games as TD decide. Each game is money game. Your goal to finish on of 8 best in this perliminary tournament. All number of your GPs you have won will be recalculate in money and it is your cash after preliminary competition finished.
Final sessions:
1. Best of 8 players play double elimination tournament till specific number of points (for example, in winner brackets - till 7 points, and in looser - till 5 points). The best 3 receive money prizes (Total => 40% of tournament fees of all participants). 2. Rest of players play double elimination torunament (like consolation) for the 10% of tournament fees of all participants. Two prize places.
Any questions more?
