Definition of "gammon save"

Did you take that definition from Backgammon Galore?

But then it goes on to give examples, which are all what you're calling "pure gammon save".

I've gotten used to using "gammon save" for what you're calling "pure gammon save" but I guess not everybody uses the term the same way.
