alot of option with the 2-2

I don't understand this position either but here are my thoughts. It seems to me that 6/4(2) must be part of the play. Whatever our game plan, unstacking that heavy 6pt to make an important home-board point is surely part of the equation.
The remaining two 2's are harder. Hitting with 24/20* is the obvious play. It destroys Blue's slotted 5pt, and gets our back checker moving, which we want to do since we're ahead in the race. The trouble is that sending another checker back may actually help Blue make a second anchor and/or make the 20pt anchor. Blue's timing should be good for a 2-3 backgame. It's probably harder for him to set up a good defense with only three checkers back as opposed to four.
The next most obvious play is to make our own 5pt. The 5pt is the 5pt and making it is the best way to stop Blue from making it. Here, though, the bar point is quite valuable, since it's part of our prime, so switching from the bar point to the 5pt doesn't gain quite as much as it usually does.
The third play to consider is just getting our back checkers going with 24/22 15/13. Cleaning up the 15pt blot takes away a lot of Blue's counterplay. Blue would like to whack away at our rear two blots, hoping to attack or prime us and win going forwards. If we hit back then Blue can fall back on a backgame.
Other plays don't look so good to me. 13/11(2) is worth a look but if we're going to play quietly then either 24/22 15/13 or 7/5(2) look better. We could look at various plays that don't make the 4pt but I can't persuade myself that they're better.
My inclination would be to play 24/22 15/13 6/4(2). This seems to further our game plan without giving Blue too many options in return.
