Understanding this position is too hard for me

White's offense is not at all threatening, so I see no reason to anchor now. If Blue anchors our win gets harder and gammon chances drop significantly, so I think hitting is required so 6/1*, and beyond that we want more ammo for the attack so 6/5. That seems too obvious though, so QF has me second guessing. Maybe the score does something weird that makes anchoring now right? Hard to believe. So what else might it be?
Double hit? No, too suicidal to swallow.
8/7 instead of 6/5 - possible, since the blot is safe for now with 3 on the bar, but I don't see what advantages it has. The two must be close in any case.
How about the other two 5s:
13/8 does bring another attacker so 13/7 could possibly make sense, but I can't see why you'd attack without hitting here given that getting hit just isn't a big threat.
18/13 prepares to bring another builder into play and safeties a blot that is exposed. It also leaves the back man very isolated. It doesn't seem likely that playing this slowly is called for, and also hard to see how this is better than anchoring. I suppose it does leave the 1 to play 6/5 or 8/7 to aid in the attack, so I guess there is a case to be made. Still, even with QF, I can't quite talk myself into it.
FWIW, I'll stick with 6/5,6/1*
