Great interview. Maybe Tobias or someone else can elaborate on a couple of things.

The Problem here, there is no “luck factor” in this game.

I'm not sure of what you're saying. Are you saying Player A is this much better than Player B and in the long run Player A will therefore win X% of the time so he shouldn't bitch when he loses? If that's the case, true of course, if not, please explain.

Who would learn Spanish or piano from a book or blog? – Backgammon has the same complexity as a language.

Ummmm....ok.

Now Backgammon found his identity and people respect the game for what it is a mind sport !

If by 'people' you mean those that play backgammon I may agree. If you mean the general public who vaguely knows what bg is I think you're way off the mark.

London and Tokyo both had terrorist attacks in the Underground system, London installed cameras everywhere, Tokyo just removed the hiding place:

I really prefer London's method.

MCG is an expert in art and music

Redefining rolling on the floor laughing. You're lucky I wasn't drinking when I read this part of the interview or I'd have charged you for the shirt I would have spewn my drink all over.

Baffle boxes should if not be mandatory at least be optional at all tournaments to use-

What are your solutions for providing baffle boxes at every tournament? Should the tournament provide them or the players? In general they don't fit in a board though I'm sure there's something that collapses on the market. What's the price of a baffle box? (too lazy to search myself)

It was chaotic but as you know only true genius can master the chaos.

Only a true genius can pick up the wrong luggage and not notice ;)

As I speak only English and German

I love how the basically the rest of the world but most of Europe for sure phrases this sentence "I only speak two languages" whereas if you were an American you'd be a lot more 'proud' I guess is a nice way to put it. And when we say it generally that person doesn't speak it anywhere near as fluently as Tobias speaks English for eg.

with $100.000 added...44 players

!!! Normally I'm not much of a fan of hedging but here I think everyone could have hedged the added money and went home happy.

There was some added money on the auction and Phil Laak and David Wells bought almost the complete auction (started at last 16) and took the added – smart guys!

Smart or poor form?
