There's been some discussion of this sort of decision before on BGO, but I don't remember enough details to be able to search for it.

This is a kind of safe/bold decision. Here I would read the position as calling for a safe play, so I'd play 4/2*/1. We're in good shape even if we don't complete a six-prime, so I don't want to risk allowing White to hit and come to the edge of the prime at the same time.
