We're leaving a direct shot regardless, so might as well make it less fun for XG to hit, and better for us if missed. XG's board is not yet ready for a hit, and XG's midpoint is stripped. It's premature for XG to break the midpoint to hit. Moreover, if missed after 15/8 we are happy to have released the 15-point (assuming we can safety the blot next roll). Must be better than 8/2*.
