OK, then it was Chase who mentioned this first, and you referenced his rule in some later posts.

In any case, I believe it is a good rule (leaving out the "slightly" as you suggest), I have been hitting the guard in these anchor + guard positions for quite a while and it is usually correct to do so when the alternatives are awkward.
