Black must hit, of course, if for no other reason than to stave off a cube. After that, he must not surrender his prime in this prime-versus-prime position. If he is not hit, and cannot escape, he can consider taking down the prime next time in order to attack. But to give up the prime now is too much like surrendering. Mike
