Why is this labeled 'or make the 5 point'?

Play 6/4*(2). Again Blue trades non-hitters vs. hitters. Compared to the original position, I'd guess that extra gammon losses are slightly elevated, but more tan offset by extra wins because Blue has 13 checkers ready to go forward.
