Playing Backgame: Hit Or No Hit?

The more I look into the position, the more 21/19 looks better than 11/9*: All big doubles are blocked and White keeps the 11-point, valuable as long as the 5- and 4-points are not closed.
This(the text on bold) is the key to the position i think. That's why i would have easily played 21/19 without further thinking. Black can escape only with 6-5 so there are only 2/36 chances to be on an immediate danger. And even with 6-5 we are not lost of course.
On the other hand hitting does what? Not any obvious good for us.Although i guess either way this position is almost lost for us. I would have preferred the checkers on our home points 2 and 3 to be sitting further back, even to opponent's 5 and 6 points for example. Now our blocking abilities are very low.
I wonder if my intuition is right and what the bots give as our chances to win now versus the position where the 4 checkers on our 2 and 3 points had been on let's say opponent's 6-point(2 checkers) and the other 2 on opponent's 5-home point?!
