Yes, already in the original position I was looking for an excuse to recube (though I wasn't able to find one) since drastically lowering our opponent's gammon value is something we're eager to do in this kind of position where our gammon risk is high.

I feel that it would help to examine both variants at DMP, to avoid the risk of a score-based exaggeration of the importance of the 22 blotting roll. Also, how confident are we that XGR+ is handling the cube correctly in the subsequent complicated positions? At DMP we don't have to worry about that question.
