which if I remember correctly means that P should decrease like exp(–N) rather than exp(–sqrt(N))
I think so. But if the single-game-skill-advantage epsilon were small but not fixed and P decreased like exp(-epsilon^2*N) = exp(-(epsilon*sqrt(N))^2, the sqrt(N)-factor for magnifying the skill difference would still make a lot of sense.
