Bob, your question is whether BIBA is the system with the largest total experience (usually measured by TMP (total match points) although total matches played could substitute)?
No, I don't think that's possible, even though BIBA has been quite active for 22 years. Although I don't see total matches or TMP online at the BIBA site, you can find this information:
Founded December 1989, 221 tournaments, 12,493 total entries, unknown total matches played, unknown total TMP, 1,078 total rated players. That's about 10 tournaments a year with an average of about 56.5 participants per tournament. Perhaps about 40% of these tournaments are 6*11pt Swiss, and perhaps most of the rest are Knock-out with 11 point main, 7 point consolation, 5 point last chance and 3 point "suicide." Some details here: http://www.backgammon-biba.co.uk/faq.html#types
One might guesstimate total matches or TMP from that, but I won't.
Compare DBgF, which at its height had more members in any one year than the total number of BIBA players in all of 22 years:
Founded October 1987, about 550 tournaments, unknown number of entries, unknown total matches played, about 3,980 total rated players, and about 5.8 million total TMP.
