Some of the Snowie rollouts posted here at bgonline clearly state that they use a "live cube." Others are mute on the subject. Does this rollout of 53P-62 use a live cube? Or does it instead create a cubeful rollout by applying the Janowski formula to a cubeless rollout?

The latter. If there is a live cube used, you will see a separate line within the text of each play summary stating "Live cube" followed by an equity.

Am I correct in presuming that unless a Snowie rollout explicitly states that is uses a "live cube," it is a cubeful (Janowski formula applied to cubless) rollout?

Yes, if you are referring to the detailed rollout result (such as the 53P-62 rollout you just linked). For a nacbrac summary, it is better to assume that live cube is the standard unless otherwise stated, though that assumption is not entirely safe. The Snowie group chose not to make live cube the main output (probably because it required about 50% more CPU and computer speeds were a lot slower then), and that confuses many people interpreting Snowie rollouts today.
