OT - Tennis Prop

Over a drink or five last night with a couple of tennis players this basic question came up:
Given 9 months can a person become a 4.5 tennis player with his opposite hand?
Noteworthy:
- The player in question is already at least that level of a player with his dominant hand.
Other points of interest brought up:
What effect would forcing that player to hit a one handed backhand have on his overall progress?
What would be the toughest things to develop?
How much would it help if the player had developed some opposite hand in the past? I don't mean ambidextrous but for example they had learned to bowl left handed in the past, played golf lefty, etc...
If you don't think 4.5 is achievable, what is the highest level you think this person could obtain in that short amount of time?
For those of you who don't know the rating system here is a link:
Basically a 3.0 player would be your normal high school player, a 4.5 would be a mediocre college player, a 6.0 is where you can start thinking about touring pros. There is no need to rate beyond that point.
There may be other questions you have or details I've inadvertently left out like can this person take lessons? Get a coach? How much time do they have to play on average? Etc..assume they have a lot of free time but no coaches and lessons really wouldn't be of much help since they already know how to play the game. Anything else let me know.
