I would say, either do what you think will help your own game most, or do what you think will benefit others most. (If you can do both, so much the better.) Just mimicking neilkaz's play does neither, so I would avoid doing that.

I usually do what Casper said he does, which is to choose a play, and then read other comments, and then post (unless I don't find the decision very interesting). If everybody else pretty much says the same as I would have said then I sometimes don't bother posting. If it's a controversial play or if I am the only one making my play then I almost always post.
