If you can have the software note the position at hand each time there's a spike I'm sure that information would be worth its weight in detecting cheats. Also, 3 ply sometimes spikes depending on how long it has to analyze. (the number of plays it is looking at) 4 ply spikes every position I look at so unless that changes with a new high end computer it would be easy to detect. (quad core 2.67 GHz here fwiw)

Anyway...if the person is only using 3 ply, who cares? That I can beat lol
