it looks very close to me. the race seems to be your main advantage and playing inside seems to fritter it away. however, playing "safe" creates wastage and throws race equity away. the 2 sides have an equal # of pips to bear all the checkers in, but 5/36 are just losses. playing inside goes against the grain, but you still have 31/36 to worry about. my reaction is pay now, but if he leaves the checker on your 5 point there are so many good pick and pass or poh # that i'm willing to admit playing inside could be right.
