Daily Quiz 9/22

1. Confused.
5 roll would be No Redouble / Take. This is 6 roll, so may be early. On the other hand, it's not really 6 roll position. 11 checkers for Blue - we have no bad rolls. A gap doesn't even hurt. And all doubles work. So blue has a clean bear-off for sure.
What about White? The key factor must be - how far away is White from a 6-roll position? Double 1's and 3's don't save a roll, that's gotta hurt. Even double 2' immediately takes off 4 but White could gap after that. How to quantify these defects? Zare had an article on how much each non-working double hurts, but he only went out to 4 rolls and I don't remember the value anyway. I'll guess you lose 3-4% win chances.
Still confused. Gut says close take but really no clue. I take on 2 and maybe on 4 (what the hell!), but drop on 16 cube. Ha !!
Hoping to learn something here.
2. I don't think you need to make any pip-count adjustments here. If I am applying Keith correctly, I say Redouble / Drop.
3. Double for sure.
White gets a roll, maybe two to come in when he has a fighting chance. His offense is strong. One hit would be an instant game changer. He could also by coming in and counterpriming / counter attacking. Blue could even crack. On the other hand, those blots and outside crossovers could spell lots of gammons.
I'll let Blue bully me here. Double / Drop.
