"Of course there is a question of who is more likely to win -- the professional, presumably. But what does having duplicate dice add to the contest? How they make the contest more "fair"?"

There are the most important questions! Thank you very much, Daniel!

Duplication of rolls is necessary technical and organisational instrument for tournament organiser to supply the participants of his tournament equal play conditions. Fair tournament rules should be included: equal number of matches; equal number of games in every match and (!!!) identical sequence of rolls for the whole match for both sides. If we are looking for the best players and like to find them between all participants of this tournament, then we should to implement such conditions in tournament rules. If "NOT" - not!

"The mere fact that the sequences will be the same on both boards has nothing to do with the professional's presumed advantage or his probability of winning."

I don't care about good or bad players, I don't care about lucky or unlucky dice rolls. I propose FAIR BACKGAMMON TOURNAMENT RULES which are NOTHING to do with any probability of winning. They are need to supply necessary and complete conditions of fair backgammon competitions that are not exist till now.

The problem is that all the time I should explain from the beginning, what I have written in my book "Fair Backgammon Tournament Rules". May be you find the possibility to read it?
