Dear Steve,

I don't care about lucky and unlucky rolls at all! It is not about what happened in the game. I try to explain how the backgammon tournament might be promoting and which important features might be implement to recognize backgammon tournament like fair competition. Duplication of rolls is one of such important and necessary elements and it is absolutely irrelevant whether this roll will be good for one board whether bad for another. The main goal that any tournament organiser should be pursue (if he wants to promote true sport competition!): provide equal play conditions during the game, match and entire tournament. That is what I'd like to implement and propose for discussion. More details in my book "Fair Backgammon Tournament Rules".
