I also play 8/7(2) 6/4, which creates a solid 4 prime and spares to attack with or to extend the prime. The double hit cannot be very bad, but the relative lack of covers (only 5s and 7s) and lack of diversified spares for the follow up attack argues against it, even though we have a significant number of attackers.
