1. We have to do something about our 8pt blot. The plausible candidates are 24/18 8/6, 24/22 8/2*, and 13/11 8/2*. If we hit then I prefer developing our midpoint stack to splitting. But I prefer trying to connect our checkers wtih 24/18 8/6. It's not so easy to cover our blot on the 2pt if White doesn't come in on our 3pt.

2. It'll probably be a while before we get a chance to send a second checker back, so I'd like to focus on the bird in the hand (i.e., White's straggler). Hitting doesn't seem to do much to contain it. I'll try to focus all my checkers on it with 24/20 13/8.

3. 15/8 leaves the fewest shots, which is worth something since White has a four-point board, but it cedes the outfield and doesn't activate our spare on the 21pt. I don't like it much. So the choice is between 21/14 and 21/18 15/11. If White's board were weaker, I think I'd lean towards 21/14 because it controls the outfield better, but here I will try 21/18 15/11, avoiding getting double hit.
