20/12 must be out of the question, it just makes it easier for white to leave fewer shots. Then there is 16/8 which leaves direct shots that will allow white to split his checkers rather safely if he hits. The more I think about it, the more I like 6/1 6/3. It makes it most difficult for white to bring in his last men, but a blue hit is not necessarily fatal. On the other hand, white is sometimes forced to leave two blots, and picking up two should win the game, even though the cube is almost useless for blue due to the score. Am I way off the mark here?
