O.K., I see. So suppose a, b, c, d are the (rescaled) margins at the four scores. Currently I suggest a+b+c+d, but you'd prefer something like sqrt(a)+sqrt(b)+sqrt(c)+sqrt(d). Even more extreme might be min(a,b,c,d). Makes sense.
