Linguistic Preference

I've wondered about this, and also about barpoint vs. bar-point, midpoint vs. mid-point, and #point vs #-point. The glossary at Backgammon Galore! uses the dash, but for reasons cited by Art (searchability and aesthetics) I prefer the solid words barpoint and midpoint. I'm not sure about the numbered points. Some other backgammon terms like reroll and recube would be more spell-checker friendly with hyphens, but I also prefer those as solid words. As for the question I like backgame, since it parallels backgammon (not back gammon).
