I found this one difficult. I first wanted to hit, then wanted to run. The argument I had for running was that we are ahead in the race, White's midpoint is stripped, and if we hit then we not only risk getting hit back and losing our race lead but we also have to think about what to do with that 5pt blot even if we don't hit. Furthermore, running covers the whole board so that White has few safe places to go.
I think the reason hitting is so much better is that White has plenty of ways to consolidate her position if she is left to her own devices. It's necessary to interfere with her chances of making the golden anchor or a strong home-board point. The cube after a dance is a bonus, but hitting would be the right play even if the cube were turned.
