I would have played 13/12 13/10.

Why are the 13/10 plays better than 16/12 ... if you're looking at outfield coverage and hits from Opponent's 20 point, there's not much to see. But if you consider that with those two blots in the board Opponent won't be anxious to hit from his 20 point right away, then I think the big advantage of starting the 10 point is that making the 10 point, a decent blocking point, becomes much more likely. And also, having covered the 10 point, you'll have one or two more distributed outfield spares, then if you had played 16/12, after which most numbers that make the 11, 10, or 9 point use up the spare on the 12 point.
