Human vs robots

This issue has been discussed on this forum before. The problem is that it's not so easy to find a proposition that isn't a foregone conclusion.

Not sure if the latest bot (XGR++) changes anything, but the consensus seems to be that the human can win a sufficiently long money session by eventually steering the position into a crazy superbackgame where the bot will keep sending the cube back because it thinks it's winning when it's losing. The gigantic occasional win will more than make up for the steady drain on the human's cash supply due to human error in "normal" positions.

On the other hand, I doubt that any strong player will be willing to bet that they'll beat the bot in a long series of short matches.

So what's left? I see two remaining possibilities.

1. A series of long matches. You might be able to find some large n such that some expert thinks he or she has an edge over the bot in an n-point match, while others disagree. Then you can generate some action.

2. Odds matches. For example maybe we give the human a 1-0 lead to start with in an 11-point match. Is the bot still a favorite? Again, you might get some disagreement and therefore some action.
