Ever played with a levanter, bone dice out of the hand on a wooden board? He will get some juicy direct shots, you can bet for. If you want to "lay" one number, it is easy. Every one can this with dice which have no rounded corner.

But where was the security? Where was the man, who had to judge the rolls? The "layed" dice isn't tumbling. Just to call "no roll" would be sufficient. If they acccepted questionable rolls, their problem. But if there was staff and distraction involved, cheating is obvious. Again, where was the security?

Making money with backgammon must be hard.
