Reading this again, I don't think it makes sense. Blue would only lose his market if the clearing roll also puts him far enough ahead in the race to cash. So I don't think Blue has many more market losers than market freezers. I still don't think there's too much equity involved in the doubling decision but now I'm inclined to wait a roll because White should still have a take if Blue gains some pips without clearing his midpoint.
