DMP: still some life

This is a difficult one for me. My instinct is to play 24/18 with the 6, because if we don't run now, what is our plan for the back checkers? White will probably run into the outfield and control it while our front position collapses. If we do play 24/18 then we have a few 4's to choose from: 5/1 covering the blot, 7/3* hitting and duplicating 1's and 3's, and 18/14 reducing shots. Of these, I think I like 7/3* best since it seems to be the only one that gives White some really bad rolls.
Suppose now we don't play 24/18. Then we have two other 6's to choose from. If we play 7/1 then 6/2 seems to be the natural 4. This leaves no shots and calmly builds the board. If we play 11/5 then we can either continue on with 5/1 or clean up the blot with 11/7. Neither looks appetizing.
So I'm down to 24/18 7/3* versus 7/1 6/2. These plays are very different and it's very hard for me to assess which one will win more often. I will try 24/18 7/3* since 24/18 was my original instinct.
