Well, I guess the reason that it is "only" about 0.150 behind is two fold. First, 13/5* knocks blue off a very important point. Purity matters. It is the 6/2 that is truly wretched. Second, 13/9(3) kills the important midpoint. Killing the midpoint with ugly(ish) doubles is often the correct play (and what I would play after briefly considering 13/5* 10/6), but that doesn't mean you should jump up in joy over it.
