hi tim....i feel u make a good point about the play 5-4*(2) 3-2(2) because it leaves no return shots from the bar at all, so why leave any shots at all, especially if we have a cash on any of his rolls, (if that is the case)...that is something i also looked at before i came to my conclusion....my thinking went like this,(i could well be wrong though ,i am still only learning this great game),after the two plays where white gets a 1/36 return hit and doesnt roll his joker in either then i cannot see white taking a 4 cube no matter what his roll, i would drop it like a hot potato...after the play 5-4*(2) 3-2(2) my thinking is that it leaves no return shots from the bar and gives us cashes on all of his dancing rolls and also on his 1-2, 1-3, 1-1, but white has 15 rolls that do give him a take...all 5s plus 4-1, 1-6 ...the safe play gives white enough extra shot equity that he can take when he rolls one of these 15 enter numbers...so i would rather give him one shot to pull it off or otherwise he drops(but i could bee wrong)
