I will take this even after reading Neil's respond :-)

I think with 58 pips ahead in the race and white without any checkers in the zone blue has enough time to enter and roll some big escaping numbers.

Blue board is not if fine shape and such crunched positions tend to be a pass but in most cases blue will clear 6pt before white pick up second checker so will not lost more gammons here.
