I thought one of the advantages of making the ace was that you can make the decision which point to give up next turn knowing the upcoming roll of your opponent - if high (say a 65) you keep the 20, if low you keep the 16 and play from two half anchors. Is this nonsense, does it make some sense but not enough, or ...?
